Greenbelt Electric Cooperative is a leader in providing electrical service for gas processing plants, natural gas compressor stations and salt water injection wells. GEC has 69kV and 115kV transmission lines and a very strong backbone 3-phase in Wheeler County. Currently in Wheeler County GEC is building transmission lines to dedicated substations for other processing plants that require a substation to run load and ensure reliability to the plant. We can provide all types of voltages 4,160, 240-480, 120-240 or any other voltage your service needs require. We know what it takes to serve oil and gas loads and are willing to do what it takes to accommodate all of your electrical needs. GEC currently serves more than 90 different oil and gas companies in the region.
To better serve our Members in the Wheeler area, in 2011 GEC added a construction crew to go along with our maintenance crew and also built a 7200 square ft. warehouse in Wheeler.
